Heading for Baden-Baden

I am leaving Staufen and heading up to Baden-Baden, which is about 2.5 hours north by highway, but I am talking a scenic loop that will take about 4 hours without stops.  I plan to visit a clock museum and open air farming museum on the way.  Both are listed in the Rick Steves guide as places to stop.  I am sure they are like the "big ball of twine" stops when driving across the US, but we will see.  It is a clear sunny day, so that should make for a good drive.
