Salzburg, Austria

Arrived Salzburg about noon and had a good day.  Went for a walk up the castle and had a "Sound of Music" tour.  I am not usually one for these types of tours, but Sound of Music nostalgia is the big thing in Salzburg, so why fight the culture.  It made for an interesting day.  Salzburg is a one night stop, I head to the Czech Republic in the morning.

View of Salzburg from the Castle

House used in the Sound of Music.  Ironically, this castle was used as
the back of the house, but a different house was used for the front.

Gazebo used in the movie.  Used to be at the castle above, but was relocated
because people trying to sing and dance in it were becoming a nuisance.

Red Bull corporate offices.  I was not aware they were based in Salzburg.

A metal bobsled trail we went on.  The straight line was the tow to the top, the
wavy line is the trail down.  It was fun.

The real highlight of the trip, stopping at a small café with what is considered
the best apple strudel in Austria, made fresh daily.  After eating it, I would concur.
